What a beautiful video. While it does remind me of what life was like living in Japan, it really slows us down to pause and appreciate the beauty that can still exist in a modern world. It highlights the balance between old and new, respecting and appreciating each in their own right. It makes me reflect on balance in our own lives and reminds me of one of my favourite quotes:
“It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
